Festival Pass

The Festival Pass is a great way to take in all the sights, sounds and stars of the Plaza Classic Film Festival. A Festival Pass sells for $200 and includes access to almost all ticketed festival movies, a jump-the-line express lane, reservations for Philanthropy Theatre movies, special events, discounts at nearby eateries and more. And it’s transferable! The 18th annual Plaza Classic Film Festival will be July 17-27, 2025.

Movies Only Pass

The Movies Only Festival Pass is like a regular Festival Pass, only it’s half the price and doesn’t include discounts at local eateries and invitations to special events. The Movies Only Festival Pass is $100 and allows admission to most of the ticketed movies in the Plaza Classic Film Festival. Like the Festival Pass, it’s transferable. The 18th annual Plaza Classic Film Festival will be July 17-27, 2025.

I'm Just a Girl Dinner (Single)

Our fourth annual dinner-and-a-movie celebrates love, love between a world famous actress (Julia Roberts) and a humble travel bookstore operator (Hugh Grant). That’s right, we’re showing Notting Hill, that 1999 charmer from the pen of Richard Curtis (Love, Actually). This year’s themed dinner is called the I’m Just a Girl Dinner, inspired by a pivotal scene in the book shop. The dinner will be from 5-6:30 pm Monday, July 21 in the Foundation Room, 333 N. Oregon, less than a block from the Plaza Theatre entrance. Seating will be family style. The set menu by Chef Omar Carranza will be inspired by the movie and will include fish and chips, Beef Wellington, salad, vegetables and dessert. The movie is at 7 pm Monday, July 21 at the Plaza Theatre. Cost: $30 per person and includes dinner and one (1) ticket to the movie.

National Velvet at La Perla

Join us for our fourth annual Elizabeth Taylor movie at the La Perla Patio Bar on the 17th floor of the Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park. This year’s feature is National Velvet, the 1944 coming-of-age tale of a horse-crazy 12-year-old, the horse she wins in a raffle and her dream of winning the Grand National steeplechase. Taylor was 12 when she made the movie, which was released during World War II. It also stars Mickey Rooney. Why are we showing one of Liz’s movies? Because she lived occasionally in the penthouse, now La Perla, when she was engaged to and later married Hilton heir Conrad “Nicky” Hilton. We’ll show National Velvet on Tuesday, July 23. Doors open at 8 pm, movie starts about 8:30 pm, depending on sunlight. Tickets: $30, includes a flauta bar. A cash bar will be open. Seating is limited. Our 18th annual Plaza Classic Film Festival is July 17-27, 2025.

Big Hero 6 at La Nube

La Nube Steam Discovery Center has been a big hit with kids, adults and families since it opened on August 10, 2024. We showed a movie there last year to give our audience a sneak peek at the place. We’re back in 2025, this time with a movie that ties in nicely with the kinds of discovery that go on in there. We’re showing Disney’s animated Big Hero 6, about a robotics prodigy named Hiro and the healthcare robot who form a superhero team to combat the villain who stole Hiro’s brother’s invention. Big Hero 6 will show on the second floor Galeria of La Nube at 8 pm Thursday, July 24. Tickets are $10. Seating is limited. Gozo’s will be on hand to sell delicious ice cream and more.
