The Plaza Classic Film Festival would not be complete without our 16th annual showing of the ultimate cult classic. Richard O’Brien’s stage musical comes to fabulous life with Tim Curry reprising his stage role as the mad but “sweet transvestite from Transylvania,” Dr. Frank-N-Furter. When a newly engaged couple (Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick) gets stranded at Dr. Frank’s castle, he sets out to convert them into Transylvanians. The film holds the record for longest theatrical run, never having been out of some form of limited release since its premiere in 1975. Costumes and props are always welcome at our free outdoor screening. — Jack Fields
