Julio Ortiz is well known in the area for his solo shows, but he’s also fronted a trio, the Ethics, who’ll back him for his Plaza Classic gig. The Ethics is compromised of guitarist-vocalist Ortiz, bassist Charles Villanueva and percussionist Freddy Roldan Dominguez. They’re natives of the southwest Borderlands of El Paso, Texas, who blend a mix of blues, rock and indie music. They appeal to a variety of ages and styles. Their live performances have been praised for their spontaneity and raw, sincere emotion.
