“No one gets out of here without singing the blues.” Chris Parker (Elizabeth Shue) certainly has the blues when her boyfriend cancels their romantic night out, and she reluctantly takes a job babysitting her neighbor’s 8-year-old daughter, Sara (Maia Brewton). What looked like a quiet evening, despite Sara’s brother and best friend deciding to stay at the house, quickly takes a turn for the worse when Chris gets a call to rescue her best friend from a bus station in downtown Chicago. Chris and all three kids head out and are faced with an evening of near-catastrophic adventures, including an impromptu set at a blues club, all to rescue her friend and get the kids home before their parents find out. — Erin Ritter
