2009 Festival
Circle content

The festival returned August 6-16 with a new name, the Plaza Classic Film Festival, a few new twists and one major coup — two screenings of George Lucas’ Star Wars. Film historian Nick Clooney appeared, actor Michael York received the first Plaza Classic Award and discussed the making of Cabaret. The festival added outdoor movies and concerts in the Arts Festival Plaza, where Jim Ward’s Sleepercar and Fungi Mungle performed and we showed The Rocky Horror Picture Show on an inflatable screen for the first time.
