Faced with feelings of failure and lack of self-confidence going into their 10-year high school reunion, Romy White (PCFF special guest Mira Sorvino) and Michele Weinbeger (Lisa Kudrow of Friends fame) conjure up a far-fetched story of inventing the Post-It to impress their former classmates. As their story starts to unravel at the hands of a disgruntled chainsmoking classmate (Janeane Garofolo), the friends learn the meaning of true friendship, self-acceptance, and overcoming insecurities. This lighthearted comedy directed by TV veteran David Mirkin (The Larry Sanders Show, Newhart, The Simpsons) is accompanied by an extensive ‘80s/’90s soundtrack that includes hits from No Doubt, the Go-Go’s, Wang Chung, Tears for Fears, and Cyndi Lauper. Note: Kudrow originated the role of Michele in the 1988 play The Ladies Room by fellow Groundlings comedy troupe castmate Robin Schiff, who wrote the movie’s screenplay. — Jaime Mendez
