This visually stunning, poetic short documentary captures the essence of the Healing Garden, which was created at El Paso County’s Ascarate Park to honor the memories of the 23 people who died in the racially motivated mass shooting at the Cielo Vista Walmart on August 3, 2019. It employs evocative visuals, ethereal music, and heartfelt narration to explore how this sacred space serves as a place for the community to reflect, meditate, and heal. The debut screening will include an introduction by El Paso County Judge Richard Samaniego, and a short Q&A after the film. — Doug Pullen
