The Plaza Classic Film Camp is a fun, educational and immersive two-week filmmaking experience for children ages 9 to 16. The third annual camp is sponsored by One Source Federal Credit Union and coincides with the El Paso Community Foundation’s Plaza Classic Film Festival in August. The camp will consistent of two-week camps — one for animation; the other for live-action filmmaking. The camps will run simultaneously from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays from July 31-August 4 and August 7-11, 2017 at the El Paso Public Library’s Main Branch, 501 N. Oregon. We'll screen their movies in a free, public event on August 13. Enrollment is limited to 25 campers, and will be based in part on merit. Once your child has decided which camp they want to sign up for, fill out the form below. Applicants (not their parents!) must provide a short video or essay explaining why they want to participate. Tuition is $300, which includes lunch, materials and a t-shirt, through July 16. It goes up to $325 from July 17-23. Please apply by July 24.
